COMMON QUESTIONS

When is the best time to get newborn photo session done?

The best time for the newborn to be photographed is between 5 to 15 days of age. This is key to having a successful newborn photo shoot and achieving those “sleepy, curled up” poses. Newborns tend to sleep less and it is difficult to “curl up” and pose once they reach the 14-day mark.

What do I need to bring to my session the day of?

Since We supply all of the props, all you need to bring is a baby, and extra food and diapers! We also ask that you bring a pacifier if you are using one to help soothe the baby through posing transitions. Occasionally, our session could fall on a cluster feeding day, and the baby may be looking to snack more than usual.

Do you share our photos on social media/or any other platform ?

The short answer is – Yes, We do share the photographs from the sessions on our social media accounts, websites, etc. If you would like to keep your images private, Please inform us at the point of booking or while in session.

A family session includes the newborn and the parents and siblings. Please note that the newborn is part of all the photos. A maximum of 2 adults are photographed in each image.

What about my hair and makeup?

We ask you to come ready for your session. we don’t recommend detailed makeup and hair for a newborn session. Just basic makeup and blow-dry or straight hair can do. We don’t allow make-up artists for the baby sessions.

What if we are delayed?

If you are more than 30 minutes late, your session will be canceled and the fee will be forfeited.

Do you offer any print product?

Prints are not part of the package but we offer high-quality prints, wall portraits, and coffee table books. Please check these out in person when you are visiting for your session.

My baby is already past two weeks old, is it too late?

It is usually still possible to capture your baby outside the two-week window, however, the images we capture for you might not be similar to the newborn images you see on our website. Our newborn portfolio contains images of babies 7-14 days old. It will be likely that some of your images could be of an awake baby, and maybe not as many asleep, curly "newborn" images. After two weeks old, newborns tend to be less easy while being posed or wrapped. For these sessions, we plan for more swaddled and wrapped setups.
